I composed this gospel song in 1987, when I was serving as pastor of a small United Methodist congregation in rural southern Illinois, and sent it out as a Christmas card. It's a challenge to sing (in fact, I've only found one singer who could pull it off), but my trumpet skills rose to the occasion.
